A note on what to expect next:
Please understand that it is not our intention to pass judgement on potential adopters in any way. Our Adoption Questionnaire is only an attempt to get to know each potential adopter and match them with the rescue dog that would best fit potential families and lifestyles. Because of energy levels, special needs, schedules, compatibility with other dogs/cats/children, etc. not every home is the perfect match for every dog. We often receive multiple applications for the same dog at the same time, so if it doesn't work out this go-around, it may have just been a matter of timing, and we encourage you to apply again in the future. If we are successfully able to match you with one of our rescue dogs, the dog's foster parent will be in touch within two weeks to arrange a meet-and-greet. In an ideal world, we would be able to respond to each and every potential adopter individually; however, as a small rescue we have found ourselves unable to keep up. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Once a dog has been adopted, its adoption listing is immediately removed from Petfinder and online. So whether or not a dog's listing is still showing up on Petfinder is the quickest and easiest way to see if s/he has been adopted.
