LIABILITY RELEASE: Must be read carefully and completed by all competitors

I understand that this is a high risk sport; I understand the propensity of an equine to behave in dangerous ways which may result in injury to the participant; I understand the inability to predict an equine’s reaction to sound, movements, objects, persons, or animals; and hazards of surface or subsurface conditions and I am participating at my own risk. I hereby assume this risk and further hereby release and hold harmless the Deep Run Hunt Pony Club, Organizer, Organizing Committee, judges and officials of the Horse Trials, the host of this Horse Trials, the owners or custodians of any property on which the Horse Trials are held, from all liability for any accidents, damage, injury or illness to myself and to my property, including any horses which I will compete with at this horse trials.
I understand that a protective helmet secured with a harness/chinstrap must be worn at all times when mounted on grounds. Minors and Pony Club members must wear ASTM/SEI approved helmets. Deep Run Hunt Pony Club strongly suggests the use of Protective Vests when competing in the event. Correct safety gear may prevent serious injury to the rider.
