2025 CHIP Application - Program/Project Funding
Please read the Community Heritage Investment Program (CHIP) Guidelines before completing this form.

Submission of the online application form and additional documents is required by May 2nd, 2025 at 11:59pm.

Priority Areas:
While CHIP funds a range of programs and projects, priority will be given to applications that:
• Support workforce development, professional development, and job creation within the museum and heritage sector.
• Further the development and creation of innovative programming.
• Encourage public awareness and appreciation of London’s heritage and cultural heritage sector.
• Increase access to quality local heritage and cultural heritage activities.
• Enhance, preserve, promote and celebrate London as a heritage and cultural community.
• Encourage collaborations within the sector.
• Increase access to volunteer opportunities for Londoners.
• Offer Londoners accessible opportunities to engage in and experience London’s heritage.
• Enhance London’s desirability as a community of choice.
• Support anti-Black racism, anti-Indigenous racism, anti-oppression, anti-islamophobia, diversity, inclusion, and equity.
  • Application Requirements:

    • Applicants must complete the online application form and provide the required additional documents in accordance with funding timelines.
    • Museums, heritage organizations, and professionals must be based in London, be a local resident, or conduct their business primarily in London.
    • Museums and heritage organizations must provide information on their official status (non-profit number, charitable status registration number).
    • Museum and heritage professionals must submit a copy of their resume and references.
    • The funding request must fall in line with the funding guidelines of May 2 – April 30 of the following year. All invoices must be dated no later than March 31.

    Terms:
    Applicants will herein be referred to as a "museum or heritage organization" or a "museum or heritage professional". As an applicant, you will either be applying on behalf of a museum or heritage organization (registered charitable organization or incorporated non-profit) as an employee or volunteer, or you will be applying as an individual museum or heritage professional. Select the term that is most appropriate. Different documentation will be required depending on the type of applicant.

    Program vs. Project:
    A "program" is recognized as a regular, on-going activity that occurs throughout the year.
    A "project" is recognized as a one-time activity or event that has a start and end date within the year.

    Important Note:
    Please complete the entire application form for Option 1. Program Funding or Option 2. Project Funding. If you are interested in applying for more than one Stream Option, please complete the applications separately.
