Are you willing to commit to foster a dog for at least 2-4 months?

An ASA foster dog should NEVER be transported out of the city or state, or left at another residence or place (for example, vet office, kennel, boarding facility, doggy daycare, pet sitter, etc.) unless permission has been expressly given by the ASA Director to do so. Do you agree to this?

A foster dog may need to be taken to a veterinarian by you at some point while in your care. Veterinary expenses for the ASA dog are paid for by the rescue. In order to conserve limited funds, ASA asks the foster to research local low cost vet clinics or those that offer discounts to 501 (c)(3) rescues. The foster must consult with the ASA director about all veterinary care and it must be approved by the ASA director BEFORE the dog goes to a veterinarian. Do you agree to do this?
