You have chosen to register your student(s) in the Big Ideas after-school 2023-2024 program. As a family you understand that your participation is required to successfully implement this educational partnership. Each family involved in the after-school program agrees to the following:

PARTICIPATION COMMITMENT:
It is the responsibility of each family to adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Big Ideas Participation agreement and Parent handbook.

AGREEMENT:
1. Each family MUST attend 3 scheduled Adult Family Member Events planned by Big Ideas Educational Services. These events may be attended by a parent/guardian, relative, or a family representative.(Summer parent orientation takes the place of 1 event)

2. Program Time: families must adhere to the programs participation/attendance policy. Students can only miss 3 after-school days each month

3. Late Policies: After 3 late and/or early pick-ups each month, student(s) will be removed from the program.(No Exceptions)

4. 3 Excessive Late Pick ups is any time after 6:10pm and/or continues late pick ups in the after-school year (identified by BIES staff) will result in immediate removal from the program. *

NON-COMPLIANCE

1. Parent Participation Agreement: Parents are responsible for fulfilling the participation agreement. Missing a scheduled Adult Family Member Event and student absences is a serious breach of the commitment parents make to the organization.

a. Students are required to attend the summer program daily. Students allowed 3 absences each month. On the 4th absence, the student will be removed from the summer program.

b. The program staff will not accept any notice for absence (i.e. doctors' notes, parent notes, sicknote, etc) any COVID 19 related silliness will be reviewed case by case.

2. Program Time: Parent/guardian understands that this time commitment will ensure students receive the Program’s core components.

3. Late/early Policy: After 3 late or early pickups in one month, student(s) will be removed from the program. Late/early pick up is 1 min before/after program designated times. *

TERMINATION

A family may be terminated from the program for the following reasons:

1. Failure to fulfill the participation commitment as outlined above.

2. Excessive student absents, early/late student pick-up) as outlined above

3. Physical and/or verbal abuse to staff or student by parent or child.

4. A child is enrolled in the program that has special needs which we cannot adequately meet with our current staffing plan.

5. If Big Ideas Educational Services deems it necessary to remove a family from the program, as defined in its policies and procedures, outlined in the parent handbook.

By signing the Parent Participation Agreement, I am obligating my family to fulfill all of the terms presented above. I have read and understand my family’s commitment to the Big Ideas summer program and I realize that non-compliance in any area may lead to removal from the program.

If a spouse or another adult will be an active participant of BIES, regularly attending meetings, dropping of and picking up student(s) he/she will be made aware of the Parent Participation Agreement . *
