BASIC RADIO PROCEDURES

1. Hold the radio approx. 8 inches from your mouth. Talk across the Mic, not into it
2. Talking into the mic creates static.
3. Hold the transmit button down for one second.
4. Speak slowly, clearly, and in a normal voice. Do not yell.
5. Call the person 1st. Example “Dispatch to Yoko 1 OR “Yoko 1 to ASI 1”
6. Wait for a Response from the radio you called
7. When they answer the call, respond with your complete message
