  • TERMS AND POLICIES

    Pet Vaccinations

    Owner must provide proof that their pet is up to date on required vaccinations by their veterinarian for the safety of the pet and the pet sitter before any pet services can be performed.

    Keys

    Keys to the residence may be picked up at time of consultation or at a designated outside location at the first visit, whichever is convenient for the client. We will be happy to maintain a key in our lockbox for future pet sitting jobs if you wish for us to do so. We will make note of any door codes and/or alarm codes if no key is required to access the residence.

    Payments

    Payment is due on or before the first day a service is to begin. For vacation visits of 3x a day or 4x a day and overnight in-home stays payment is due 3 days prior to the first day the service is scheduled to begin. You will receive an email with a link to your invoice allowing you to pay securely online. A return email will be sent to you confirming receipt of payment. You also have the option to pay by cash, check, Venmo or Zelle.

    Holiday Rates

    An extra $5 will be added to the total fee for the day designated as a Holiday. Holidays include: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

    Cancellations

    Cancellation of same day dog walks or potty break services must be cancelled by 8:00 AM on the day of the scheduled service. Cancellations of scheduled vacation visits or overnight in-home pet sitting will require a 3 day notice prior to the date of the first visit. Cancellation of all Holiday pet sitting reservations require a 5 day notice prior to the date of the first visit

    Cancellation Fees

    If any pet sitting reservation is not cancelled within the required time frame, client will be charged for 50% of the total reservation charge.

    Early Returns

    When reservations have been scheduled, confirmed and pre-paid for vacation visits and overnight in home stays, there will be no refunds for early returns unless there are extenuating circumstances.

    Cat Policy

    For our furry feline friends we require at least a once a day visit for their protection and safety. We do not offer every other day visits.

    Emergency Contacts

    For the safety and continuity of care for your pets we request the name and number of someone who lives locally and who has access to your home for emergencies. If the owner cannot be reached this person would be contacted by us if for some unforeseen reason we were unable to get to your home or gain entry into your residence and care for your pets at the scheduled time.

    Inclement Weather

    We will make every effort to arrive at your home to care for your pets at the scheduled time during inclement weather. In the event we are unable to drive safely to your home we ask that you provide us with an emergency number of a neighbor, family member or friend that has access to your home and would be able to go check on your pets. As conditions allow us to reach your home safely we will then provide the service to your pets.

    Access to your home by others

    If clients allow landscaping companies, cleaning companies or any other person or persons access to their home while under contract with Precious Paws we cannot be held liable for any damage to property or pets as a result

    Fences

    Some clients choose to leave their pets outside in a fenced backyard during the day. If we are asked to leave your pet in the backyard, Precious Paws does not accept responsibility or liability for a pet that escapes, gets injured, fatal or otherwise or becomes lost or taken while in backyard

    Pet, House and Yard Clean-up

    Pet waste will be properly disposed of in your outside trash receptacle. Any accidents in the house will be cleaned up to the best of our ability with the use of cleaning products and towels that are provided by the owner. Precious Paws Pet Sitting, LLC is not responsible for carpet or flooring stains created by your pet(s)

    Aggressive / Biting Pets

    We reserve the right to decline pet sitting services for any aggressive or unmanageable pets or if a pet has had a biting incident with a pet sitter in the past. If an aggressive occurrence takes place during the performance of any scheduled pet sitting service we will contact the owner immediately to discuss alternative pet care if necessary.
