    Dear Parents,
    Welcome to North Central Ballet’s Production of Coppelia!

    DRESS REHEARSAL
    Saturday, April 2, 12:00 PM*
    Performances: April 2, 6:30 PM*
    April 3, 2:00 PM*

    PERFORMANCE DATES
    April 2/3, Palace Theatre, Grapevine

    1) Dancers must be in the theatre 45 minutes prior to each performance.
    2) ALL performers MUST check in at the sign in desk.
    3) Parents MUST sign in dancers and be picked up at the check-in desk after the show only.

    Dancers are required to be at the first three rehearsals as well as all rehearsal in the studio the week prior to the production, no exceptions. REHEARSALS ARE EACH WEEKEND FROM 1/22 through PERFORMANCE.

    TICKETS
    Any person entering the venue during performance MUST have a ticket. Tickets are NOT available at the studio.

    Tickets are available ONLY online at www.northcentralballet.com There is a per ticket fee in which we at NCB have no control. Tickets from any other venue are not counted toward the 12 tickets required to be sold.

    FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    1) A $75.00 (check)/$78.75 (online) costume fee will be assessed from EACH dancer participating in the production. Due January 22, 2022

    2) Each dancer or parent is responsible for obtaining a minimum ¼ page advertisement for each dancer. Other sizes available. ALL advertisements are to be turned in the proper size, format, and ready to be placed directly into program. Please submit all ads electronically. NCB does not provide design work for ads. ¼ page ad = $100.00 check/$105.00 online. See advertising section at the bottom of this form.

    3) All advertisements are due with payment March 1, 2022. Ads not turned in by this date WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM. Dancers are still responsible for the financial obligation to the company whether or not ads or sponsors appear in the program (late entries only). Those who do not meet the requirements will not be allowed to perform.

    4) All dancers are required to sell a minimum of twelve (12) tickets @ $18.00 each. First 6 due by February 12. Final 6 Due March 6. Please use the link provided to keep track of the tickets you sell. ONLY turn in your form when you have sold the first 6 and second 6.

    5) There will be a $125 check/$130 online per dancer rehearsal fee due February 1.

  • Parent Volunteer Rules and Regulations

    All parents are required to volunteer in some capacity, including helping with setup as well as loading trucks and trailers immediately after the last performance, and helping unload back into the studio Sunday night.
  • Parent Rules and Regulations

    1) Parents will not be allowed into the audience without a ticket.

    2) Parents are not allowed backstage or in the dressing areas. This will be enforced.

    3) Dancers will greet their guests after performance. This is the time for flowers, hugs, kisses, etc.

    4) Please notify the company in writing prior to absence. More than 3 absences will result in removal from the cast
    with no refund of financial obligations. (See financial obligations).

    5) Absolutely no absences once the production
    moves into the venue.

    6) Dancers are required to be at the first three rehearsals as well as all rehearsal in the studio the week prior to the production, no exceptions.
  • Dancer Rules and Regulations

    In addition to performing, it will be the responsibility of every dancer to:
    1) Keep his or her personal belongings together and separate from the costumes.
    2) Arrive on time and adhere to schedules.
    3) Bring quiet games and activities to remain occupied while waiting in the lounge area.
    4) Provide supervisors with a note should there be any irregularities in routine.
    5) Arrive with proper dance supplies and hair in place for performance. Dancers should arrive with make-up on.
    6) Dancers shall provide their own ballet slippers, pointe shoes, performance tights and make-up in good condition.
    7) Excused absences will be determined by the Artistic Director.
    8) Absolutely no eating, drinking or make-up application once in costume.
    9) Listen and repeat instructions given by adult volunteers.
  • Dressing/Costuming

    We will use volunteers to dress the dancers. These volunteers will be assigned for each performance.

    Only these volunteers will perform this task.
    ABSOLUTELY NO EATING, DRINKING OR MAKE-UP APPLICATION ONCE IN
    COSTUME.

    DANCERS IN VIOLATION WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE CAST!
  • Children's Supervision

    Volunteers will be assigned for each performance.
    These volunteers will:
    1) Make sure all performers have arrived.

    2) Escort dancers to and from the staging area.

    3) Wait with dancers until parents have picked them up after performance. (This means NO ONE will be admitted past the stage door!) Messages and supplies for dancers must be left at the check-in table. This is for dancer’s
    safety.
  • Photography

    Parents are permitted to videotape dress rehearsal ONLY. A professional videotape will be available for purchase during the run of the show.

    PLEASE, NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY AT ANY TIME! IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO THE PERFORMERS!
