TERRE HAUTE CHICKEN FLOCK LICENSE APPLICATION
This form is for residents of the City of Terre Haute only. Per City Code Chapter 6, Section 6-72.1 all residents must obtain a Chicken Flock License prior to harboring chickens. One chicken flock allowed per address.

Maximum of eight (8) hens per address. Roosters are not permitted. An individual cannot harbor more than one (1) chicken flock in the city. One chicken flock license per address.

The land the chicken flock will be located on must be 4,800 square feet or more.

By applying for a Chicken Flock License you agree any Animal Control Officer of the City or their designees may perform an inspection.

Any individual previously convicted of cruelty to an animal may not apply.

License is valid for two (2) years once approved.

    The zoning classification of the property is found by emailing the City Clerk at Clerk@terrehaute.in.gov or telephoning the Engineering Department (812-244-2311) or through GIS (Beacon) found www.VigoCounty.In.Gov.

    NOTE: This is not the classification of the property tax assessment. Failure to select the proper zoning classification will result in the application being denied.
