  • Production Support Obligation

North Central Ballet productions require family participation to ensure dancer safety, smooth backstage operations, and a successful performance experience for all involved.

Each family is required to fulfill one (1) Production Support Obligation per production, regardless of the number of dancers enrolled.
Families may satisfy this obligation in one of the following ways:

    Option A: On-Site Production Support
Families may complete one approved on-site production support assignment, which may include (but is not limited to):

    • Ushering
    • Performer check-in
    • Costume dressing
    • Backstage supervision
    • Load-in or load-out following the final performance
    • Boutique setup and sales
    • Concessions setup and sales
    • Tea party setup and hosting

Assignments are made at the discretion of North Central Ballet staff based on production needs, experience, and reliability. Submission of availability does not guarantee placement in a specific role.

Families selecting this option must complete their assigned shift in full and in accordance with all instructions provided.

    Option B: Production Support Fee

Families may elect to satisfy the Production Support Obligation by paying a $150.00 non-refundable Production Support Fee in lieu of completing an on-site production support assignment.

This fee supports overall production operations and staffing needs as determined by North Central Ballet, including—but not limited to—dancer supervision, costuming, front-of-house operations, and load-in/load-out.

Families must elect this option no later than Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

Families who do not complete an assigned on-site production support assignment by the established deadline will be automatically assessed the Production Support Fee through their account.

Payment of the Production Support Fee does not create a volunteer credit, does not carry over, and does not reduce or replace future production obligations.

    Failure to Comply
Failure to complete an on-site production support assignment or pay the Production Support Fee by the stated deadline will result in the dancer being ineligible to perform in the production.

    Without exception.

    Important Notes
    • The Production Support Obligation applies only to the current production and is not cumulative, transferable, or carried over to future productions.

    • Each family may fulfill one obligation per production only, regardless of the number of dancers enrolled.

    • After March 13, 2026, availability for on-site production support assignments may be limited based on staffing needs.

    • Additional support beyond the required obligation is welcome but not required.

  • Parent Rules and Regulations

    1. Parents will not be admitted to the audience without a ticket.
    2. Parents are not permitted backstage or in dressing areas.
