Wellman Shew has received a number of prestigious insurance and benefits industry honors and accolades throughout his career, recognizing not only his unwavering commitment to world-class client service, but also his consistently and consistently strong performance as a leader in the local insurance industry.

Shew appeared on the cover of Employee Benefits Selling Magazine in April 2004. Shew was also named Member of the Year by the Central California Association of Health Underwriters (CCAHU) and was proclaimed "Wellman Shew Day" by the City of Fresno.

Shew holds several professional designations, including CFP (Certified Financial Planner®), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter®), RHU (Registered Health Underwriter®), and REBC (Registered Employee Benefit Consultant®).

Education

Shew graduated from Fresno's Central Union High School (1977). Shew attended California State University-Fresno (CSU-Fresno) for his undergraduate studies after graduating from high school, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1981.

The following year, Shew became an insurance specialist, laying the groundwork for a lifelong career.
