Have reviewed the SRI Application Process Document and have followed all necessary procedures to be eligible, https://umbc.box.com/v/McNairSRIApplicationProcess
You must complete a research paper that is given a passing grade by your Faculty Research Mentor (P if Pass/Fail, B or higher if given a letter grade)
You must complete a conference presentation for the work done during SRI
All required items must be submitted within six months of your official start of SRI to receive full stipend. Exact deadlines will be established by the McNair staff
A stipend of no more than $1400 (for spring or fall semester) or $2800 (for summer) will be given for your completion of SRI. (See exact breakdown in SRI app informational)
SRI requires atleast 40hrs/week (during summer) or 10 hrs/week (during spring or fall semester). This includes all McNair Monday Meetings, SRI Group Meetings, and a scheduled meeting with your Faculty Research Mentor once a week.
Summer participation in SRI requires travel to at least Atlanta for the SAEOPP research conference. Other conferences are highly recommended.
You agree to allow your SRI Proposal to possibly be used in the future as an example for other scholars.
