  • These drills are recommended for all students who did not take Saxon 87, 2nd or 3rd Ed or if the Facts Drills were not completed when Saxon 87 was taken.
  • Does your student:

  • If struggling, increase to 5 or 6 days a week to build fluency. Like running or playing piano, "practicing" more days will develop fluency faster. Fluency makes learning math faster and easier!
  • Students who work past the recommended time are not able to retain the information learned. This creates gaps which negatively affects retention and fluency. For details, see the Timed Method in the Time Saving Tips article linked above.
  • Students should not simply copy everything in the lecture. Instead, take brief notes on headings, key points, and formulas, The primary focus is working the example problems on paper.
