  • - Fishing begins at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 10:00 a.m.
    - The final fish weigh in is at 10:30 a.m. followed by awards and a prize drawing.
    - Pre-registration guarantees a free derby t-shirt to the preregistered child.
    - Registrations the day of the derby will ensure the child is included in the prize drawing.
    - Extra (or unclaimed) t-shirts for children registering on the day of the derby may be available after 10:00 a.m. on a first come, first served basis.
    - A complimentary pancake breakfast and a hot dog lunch will be served to all attendees.
    - Children under 14 do not need a license to fish.
    - Gas powered boats are not allowed on Black Lake.
    - Prizes are awarded to age groups 0-6, 7-10, and 11-14 in addition to aggregate weight (and length for tie-breaker).
