Minds of the Future Foundation
Mentee Application
Minds of the Future Foundation aim to provide students in the 8th-12 grades with academic tutoring once a week, career counseling, and
job shadowing opportunities monthly. Students are required to attend academic tutoring once a week at Minds of the Future Academy for
one hour. Mentors and mentees meet once a month (Minimally) at the mentor workplace to provide job-shadowing experience. Through
the course of the school year, the foundation counselor will review with students their job shadowing experience and career exploration
on the career they chose to ensure they are working toward a career goal. If you have questions about the information requested below,

Expectation Checklist
What is the purpose of the program?
Minds of the Future Foundation is designed to give your child an opportunity to have a one-on-one relationship with a mentor to provide job-shadowing experience once a month. Students must commit to receiving academic tutoring once a week at Minds Foundation (4162 Spring Park Circle.) Transportation to and from job-shadowing experience and the foundation is solely the parents responsibility.

This is a non monetary paid experience. This experience provides students the opportunity to gain valuable on the job training for their desired career choice.

What activities are required for the mentee?
Students must commit to annual fundraising events. The first event will be held September 7th. Students will attend a reception and meet their mentors at this black tie event!

Are students required to complete assignments that will help them understand more about the career they chose?
Students are required to complete assignments that will provide them an in-depth understanding of the career they chose. Students will also receive assistance academically and may be required to complete assignments that will challenge them to understand the concepts more thoroughly.
