AUDAX UK PERMANENT EVENT PROFORMA
GENERAL PERMANENT EVENTS INFORMATION
General Requirements for Advisory Route Permanent Events
A written (turn by turn) route sheet suitable for navigation and identifying control locations should be provided, regardless of the means of obtaining proof of passage that will be used while riding the event.
Control locations should ensure that the minimum event distance is covered by visiting each control in turn and collecting proof of passage. Control locations should be sufficient, and with suitable facilities available to provide for riders’ refreshment and an opportunity for rest (typically at not more than 100km intervals)
Category 1 – Advisory Route Permanent Events
In addition to the general requirements above riders will be issued with a brevet card.
If a rider finds that for any reason the expected means of obtaining proof of passage is not available at the time of arrival at a control location, date and time stamped photographic evidence showing the rider’s bicycle at the control location may be submitted instead. Photographs are not acceptable as proof of passage at start and finish control locations.
Organisers of these events may also apply to AUK to have these events made available for proof of passage to be obtained by means of a recorded GPS track or by the use of the e-brevet phone app at control locations
Category 2 – Advisory Route Permanent Events (Validation by GPS track or by E-Brevet as proof of passage only)
In addition to the general requirements above riders will be issued with a GPS track of the route.
Proof of passage for these events may only be obtained by means of a recorded GPS track or by the use of the e-brevet phone app at control locations.
Category 3 – Mandatory Route Permanent Events (Validation by GPS track proof of passage only)

Control locations should be sufficient, and with suitable facilities available to provide for riders’ refreshment and an opportunity for rest (typically at not more than 100km intervals.
